The UNLV track & field team registered eight top-eight finishes, including two wins, on the first day of UC Irvine's adidas/Steve Scott Invitational. Cortney Miller (Las Vegas/Calvary Chapel Christian HS) and Krystal Wharton (Las Vegas/Valley HS) claimed the top spot amongst collegiate competitors in the hammer throw (190-6/58.07m) and long jump (19-9.75/6.04m: tied personal best), respectively.
